I owe 15,000 from an 05 audit. I have the money but would rather make monthly installments on the money. I have good credit. First off would they let me make payments if I could pay it off in full? Secondly, what is the interest rate that they charge and are their hidden fees?
Indiana what are you talking about?

I called up and agreed to pay the full amount in 120 days. I can pay through installments or all at once, as long as I pay the full amount by August 20. What’s the interest/pentaly costs going to be because I’m taking this route?

Hi, this is a follow up question to my original.

Most have said I cannot deduct the mortgage interest and property tax that was paid on this property that I was put on deed toward the end of the year.

How can IRS actually know that it wasn’t me paying this?

If I provide funds to my mom earlier this year to make her mortgage payments and tax payments, isn’t that considered me paying for it?

At the end of the year, the mortgage companies will have both my name and my moms on the 1099 as well as the property tax reciept with both my name and hers since by the time they generate this i will be on the deed too right?

Later in the letter it says:
This information is being furnished to the appropriate department IRS.The amount of interest paid or credited to you in the calender year shown is on an overpayment of federal tax.
Please explain lol!
Also if I have to add this to my tax return do i add it to 2006 return or to my 2007 return and how would i put it on my return?

The Form 9465 does not include this information, and I do not seem able to find it elsewhere.
